Education is a very important factor is the economic development of India. It has one of the largest education systems in the world. There are nearly 1.5 million schools and 240+ million students studying in these schools. Out of 11000+ schools, 25 % of the schools are private run which contributes 40 % of the enrolment. In the case of higher education, India has 30000+ institutions enrolling over 30000 students.

The total education market in India is estimated at $100 billion with higher education contributing to the majority of the percentage, school education close to 40% and preschoolers in single-digit percentages. From this, it can be clearly seen that education costs higher in household expenditure just after the food and grocery. Therefore, a lot is expected from the education department.

There should be immense development to improve the delivery of education. There should be peer to peer learning system. There should be a drastic change in technology to meet the need of all. In the coming 15 years, India will be counted among the youngest nations in the world with nearly 140 million college-going students.
